The Centre International de Conférences d’Alger (CICA) has confirmed that it has landed The 15th International Energy Forum (IEF), which will be one of the Centre’s first big conferences when it takes place 26–28 September 2016.
The IEF was last held in Moscow in 2014, and is expected to again draw 750 international delegates, including energy ministers from 72 countries.
Hosted by the Government of Algeria, this 15th IEF will be the first event of its kind to be held at the CICA, which is scheduled to open officially in late 2016.
CICA chief executive officer Paul D’Arcy, said: “We look forward to welcoming the 15th International Energy Forum. The IEF is the main energy organisation, whose 72 member countries account for almost 90% of world oil and gas supply and demand. Algeria has been a member of OPEC since 1969 and CICA is a perfect venue for such a prestigious and important event.”
When CICA opens later this year it will offer meeting rooms, a banquet hall seating over 2000 guests, exhibition halls, restaurants, retail space, parking facilities and a multipurpose auditorium that will accommodate 6,000 delegates.
