M&I Fest Global Marrakech 2025 opened 17 March with a renewed energy and vibrancy, following-on from last year’s successful inaugural event, writes Ramy Salameh. Within the Palais de Congres at the Moevenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi Marrakech, new hotel and destination pavilions such as Van Der Valk and Meet in Austria reflect the growing importance and popularity of Fest to create meaningful business relationships.
Also new this year is a Tech Zone featuring Holoconnects a company showcasing 3D holographic technology within the MICE sector, alongside Grip, M&I’s AI-powered event platform behind M&I’s 1-2-1 meeting matches. The feedback from delegates to these innovations has been described as “game-changing”.
After all meetings were completed, buyers and suppliers converged in the main congress hall for a TED-style talk from Thorsten Heavaner, a mindreader and master communicator who shared his insight under the theme ‘How to read people?’.
All these additions to the show this year have created a more rewarding experience for those attending.
“After much anticipation, it’s very exciting to get the 2nd edition of M&I Fest Global underway. By lunchtime on day one, we had hosted over 2,000 meetings, and the energy in the room has been fantastic. It’s a pleasure to welcome top hotel brands like Marriott, IHG, Van der Valk and Hilton, along with destination pavilions such as Meet in Austria and Visit Hungary, connecting them with the best buyers. We’re off to a great start and can’t wait for the rest of the programme to unfold” said Richard Barnes, CEO of M&I.
